Athenaeum International is dedicated to serving the changing needs of its ValueWebTM of consumers, producers, and investors. Athenaeum International is a dynamic network of people dedicated to changing the workplace through the integration and co-evolution of processes, tools and environment. We build organic environments that have the flexibility to evolve with the people that use them and are working to develop responsive technology which will facilitate knowledge creation and management.
Using the models developed by Matt and Gail Taylor to characterize creative, collaboartive design processes, Athenaeum International pioneers environments in which space plan, furniture and technological solutions for clients remove the blocks that keep them from moving beyond linear thinking.
Athenaeum International's network is disbursed over a wide area, providing us a diverse virtual staff. Bill Blackburn leads this group from Boulder, Colorado. From a background of planning and design, Bill has incorporated the MG Taylor models and principles in environmental and furniture design, building, manufacture, and technological solutions and in managing the business of Athenaeum International. Paul Lyons, a talented designer from Mexico, focuses on developing cutting edge products and Gerry Headley from Tennessee gives architectural support. Matt Taylor from Palo Alto and Hilton Head and Robert Darling from Washington, DC are working with MG Taylor's newest clients and will be active on the design team to move the Enterprise's trade dress forward in the fall of 1999. The design team's work is supplemented by Gunner Kaersvang of Boulder and John Michie from Canada of Kaersvang Enterprises who supply logistics, design and prototyping services. Boulder residents Eric Gibson of Proximal Networks and John Miller of Net Infrastructure focus on technology services. Coming from the process side of the MG Taylor network to Boulder, Pat Gibson helps to round out the three-legged stool of integrated process, tools and environment. For design events in Boulder, Juliet Wittman and Reggie Thompson provide documentation and project management support. To complete the local network, Bonnie Gibson assists with events, operations and marketing materials. We keep a close relationship with Lori Bergeron and Mary Molina of the knOwhere store in Hilton Head which provides hypertiles and supplies that enhance the functionality of our WorkWallTM units for our clients.
Athenaeum International is part of the MG Taylor Value WebTM Enterprise,
and as such its goal is to serve the needs of MGTaylor's clients as well
as to develop a strong client base itself. One focus of the organization
is to develop a market for our environments and the practice of MG Taylor
facilitation techniques in the Front Range area. Another function is to
take our technology and environment design to the next level to help provide
our market differentiator--integrated processes, tools and environment--to
the Enterprise's clients.
