Client Environments
1996-1998

When you walk into this environment, you are immediately flooded with the message that this is for work, for rolling up your sleeves.  It is an environment of tools, stimulation.  This is an environment to create, recreate, store, reflect, retrieve knowledge and information.  The environment is telling you that.  It is a unitary message that comes on all levels--visual, intellectual, visceral.
Matt Taylor

Every pattern is a rule of transformation.  The fact that every pattern is a rule of transformation means that each pattern has the power to transform any configuration by injecting new configuration into it, without essentially disturbing any essentials of the configuration which was there before.
Christopher Alexander

You cannot directly manage group creativity.  You can learn the shape of human energy in the room and work with it.  You can manage the physical environment--color, light, sound, and texture: how the environment adjusts to the work--rather than adjusting the people and the work to the environment.
Discovering the Genius in Your Organization
MG Taylor, 1997

Expanding the enterprise means increasing wealth for all parties. The universality of our environments is being proved daily in this setting, as people from all over the United States, from Canada, and from  many different European nations come to work and find comfort, challenge and creativity. By facilitating using the Seven Domains, with our environments as a primary part, our clients can manage the process as a system, compress the time, and get a superior product. Time after time, our clients and their clients acknowledge that the results they get using a combination of MG Taylor environment, processes, and tools far outreach what they had imagined possible.

You cannot help picking up the concept that the familiar place--home--generates a secure feeling, and the novel one--playground--a sensation of potential danger, and that individuals differ in how great they want that mix to be.  To interpret an environment, you must not only describe it bu also the reactions of different individuals with different genetic and experiential backgrounds.

The Power of Place, 1993

To argue with someone else's experience is a waste of time.  To add someone's experience to your experience--to create a new experience--is possibly valuable.
